Welcome to LEAD.Well…

Everyday Leadership for Smart Women

LEAD.Well exists for two core reasons:

To help you feel connected to others who get the road you’re walking down — because leadership is super lonely.

To help you stay connected to what matters most — the people, projects, priorities and practices that help you do your best work and make your most meaningful contribution.

DEEPEN YOUR LEADERSHIP.

GROW WITH OTHERS.

TAKE BETTER, BRAVER ACTION – DAILY.

Being a leader isn’t easy, and it’s often pretty lonely.

Whether you’re running your own business, leading a team of people inside a company, moving a community project forward or doing your own creative work – leadership requires focus, courage and clarity.

And that can sometimes feel like it’s in short supply as you navigate time constraints, tight deadlines, interpersonal relationships and finding time to actually do your work.

Not to mention the sense of isolation that can often come when you’re responsible for so much and yet don’t have anyone to share those unique challenges with.

But deep down, you know it’s an area that requires your attention if you want to do better work, feel more confident and move yourself forward.

That’s why I created LEAD.Well – a thoughtful space for you to continue to grow as a leader on your own terms, with other women who get it.

LEAD.Well is Your Partner in Strengthening Your Leadership and Keeping You Connected to What Matters Most.

What Is LEAD.Well?

LEAD.Well is a leadership community of practice designed to support curious, smart women who want to make a meaningful contribution, level up their leadership and do the work that matters most…to them.

We offer connections, candid conversations, thoughtful content, perspective-shifting coaching and a container to do your best work.

In a world where information is in grand supply and the noise
can sometimes be deafening, we’ll provide the nuance and the
space to to explore, inquire, process and practice.

We’re building a community of caring leaders who want to live
and lead from our values, stay nimble in our ever-changing reality,
and work to make the world just a little bit better.

We believe that true leadership — everyday leadership —
isn’t solely about
the extraordinary: the stages, the status, the spotlight.

We believe instead, that most acts of great leadership are about the everyday: the invisible, the insightful, the inclusive.

Leadership is available to all of us, every day.

LEAD.Well offers you a place and a way to practice.

THE LEAD.WELL FRAMEWORK

REFLECT: Leadership Essentials is our foundational course designed to help you identify who you are as a leader and where you’re headed, and then create a Leader Impact Plan to put it into action.

CONNECT: Leader Roundtables + Circle Community offer thoughtful conversation and exploration around our monthly themes, connection with like-minded leaders and a place to learn and grow together.

PRACTICE: Sustainable Success underpins everything we do inside LEAD.Well as we believe great leadership is sustainable leadership. We offer regular practices to help you stay focused, well and clear over the long haul.

LEAD.Well Framework

HERE’S HOW EVERYTHING IN LEAD.WELL WORKS:

At LEAD.Well, we take a theme-based approach to our work.

Every month we explore a different leadership theme (e.g. Beyond Busywork and Burnout, or Visibility for Leaders). These themes offer us a loose container to explore, discuss and practice various leadership ideas.

To kick off each theme, you’ll receive a short resource email with articles, books, podcasts and more to help you dig in to our them. Then, we’ll gather for our monthly Leader Roundtable on the second Wednesday of the month. These lively and thoughtful discussions centre around that month’s theme and are a combination of exploration, discussion, integration and then practice.

Our Leader Roundtables are a fantastic way to meet your fellow members and to explore and integrate leadership practices into your days (in a very low-pressure kind of way).

For the rest of the month, we offer various ways to stay connected to the theme, to each other and to what matters most.

Here’s how a sample month would roll out. Click to open up the image.

BEGIN WITH OUR LEADERSHIP ESSENTIALS PROGRAM

Great leaders share one core quality: self-awareness.

They know their values and lead in accordance with them. They have guardrails to protect their time and energy. They understand their strengths and leverage them. They know their shortcomings and work to develop them (or delegate them out).

And great leaders know where they’re headed and the contribution they’re here to make.

When you become a LEAD.Well member, you’ll get access to our Leadership Essentials program – our foundational course designed to help you uncover your true Leader Identity and create a Leadership Impact Plan to put into action.

This is a self-paced program inside our Circle community AND you can join live Leadership Essentials Workshops all throughout the year to get feedback, support and conversation.

Leadership Essentials

Leadership Essentials Curriculum

Here’s how the program rolls out:

WHAT MAKES LEAD.WELL DIFFERENT AND A LITTLE BIT SPECIAL…

We Focus on You as a Whole Person

We’ve all taken countless professional programs designed to help us achieve more, be more and do more.

And while LEAD.Well will support your biggest aspirations, we do it all through the lens of what’s best for you, the person.

Great leaders are people-first, and we’re here to honour and respect that truth, first and foremost.

In practice, this means that we don’t subscribe to one-size fits all strategies or tactics, nor do we ask you to focus purely on productivity or achievement.

We’ll hold space for your frustrations, feelings and gaps in focus and help you find your way through.

We Cultivate Deep Connections

We’re interested in having deep, rich conversation with like-minded women, not superficial or scattered social media soundbites.

Our community is carefully curated to bring thoughtful, smart and curious women together to go beyond the day-to-day chatter. We strive to talk about the things that matter most in a caring, inclusive way that leaves everyone with something new to think about.

Leaders deserve a community that understands the complexities, challenges and rewards that come with leadership.

We offer that here and welcome your unique contributions.

We Focus on Practice over Perfection

Leaders are visionary people who can often see how things can be better.

This can lead to incredible impact, but it also can get leaders caught in the pursuit of perfection (which often leads to burnout and overwhelm).

Inside LEAD.Well, we focus on becoming better, braver everyday leaders through regular, deliberate practice.

We subscribe to Gretchen Rubin’s idea, “What you do everyday matters more than what you do once in a while.”

Practice makes progress.

We offer a permission slip to forgo perfection.

We Design for Impact

We’re striving to be better, braver everyday leaders so that we can make an impact on the people, communities and projects we care about.

While we seek out opportunities to grow our influence, visibility and resources, we do so in service of something beyond status and the spotlight.

LEAD.Well members have a diverse mix of skills, job titles, and experiences, but what brings them together is a common goal of leaving things better than how they found them.

We’re here to help you lead, well.

When you join LEAD.Well, you also get Lifetime Access.

This means that you’ll have access to everything inside LEAD.Well, including anything new we create — now and forever.

No extra costs and no renewal fees.

This takes the pressure off you to feel like you have to attend and consume everything, all-the-time, and instead offers you the space to engage and explore as your schedule allows.

(Many of our members dip in and out depending on the season of life they’re in — and that’s ok by us!).

LEAD.Well is always here and ready for you.

LEAD.Well Lifetime Access

Our LEAD.Well Philosophy

LEAD.Well is a leadership community of practice for smart, thoughtful women who want to explore, deepen and amplify their leadership.

We believe that leadership isn’t just about stages, spotlights and c-suites.

Everyday leadership asks us all to take intentional and daily action to build something better. We also believe that becoming a better leader isn’t linear nor is it a 5-step formula. And so, we’ve designed LEAD.Well to be a space where you come and stay a while.

We also believe that you are already a leader. You don’t need to be fixed, you don’t need to hustle more, and you don’t need to add 50 more things to your already enormous to-do list. We create the conditions to help you express, explore and practice your leadership in a way that aligns with YOU.

Staying connected to what matters most isn’t easy, but LEAD.Well makes it easier.

We offer a tight, focused community and container for you to explore your ideas and opportunities, to set priorities and projects, and to build in a set of practices to keep you on track.

If you find yourself saying, “I wish I had a moment to think and get clear,” or “I start strong and then the day-to-day demands pull me away from my big plans,” then LEAD.Well is the community for you.

And we do it all through a values-focused lens. Because if it doesn’t align with your values, it’s simply not sustainable.

LEAD.Well will keep you focused on what matters most.

IMPORTANT!

Before you join LEAD.Well, please know that we take a values-based approach to our work.

That means that we actively support social justice issues and will not tolerate any form of discrimination. Our number one priority is that LEAD.Well is an inclusive, safe space for leaders to learn, talk and practice.

If this bothers you, please do not join LEAD.Well.

It’s time to make a commitment to your leadership potential

Inside LEAD.Well, you’ll find a growing community of women who are like you: thoughtful, caring, whip-smart and dedicated to their own personal and professional leadership development.

We cater to the curious, impact-driven woman who is tired of formulas, how-to’s and rigid rules.

In LEAD.Well, there’s no one right way here, and there’s no behind. You take what you want, and you leave the rest.

LEAD.Well is
Leadership In Action

LEAD.Well isn’t about collecting information or
building a library of resources.

The heartbeat of LEAD.Well is reflection, integration, practice and candid conversations.

As we explore each month’s content and conversation,
you’ll receive specific Leadership in Practice prompts and challenges
to put what you’re learning into action.

Because that’s how we get better.

Why LEAD Well with me?

Hi! I’m Stephanie Pollock, Leadership Coach, Host of the Rise Without Compromise Podcast and Facilitator of The Leadership League Mastermind. Leadership is in my blood.

I’ve always sought out leadership roles: Mayor of my grade six classroom, captain of my field hockey and soccer teams, Vice Chair of the Board of one of our city’s biggest non-profit, steering committee member and organizer for the highly successful Women’s Leadership Forum, and head of numerous non-profit committees.

I’ve been recognized as a Top 40 Under 40 change-maker in my region. I’ve been profiled and spotlighted in national media. I’ve completed an elite Leadership Training program, and received kudos from the governor general for my business prowess.

And for the past 12 years I’ve been working side-by-side with women across the globe to help them lead themselves and their businesses forward.

Women’s leadership is at the heart of what I do. I believe, now more than ever, that strengthening and amplifying women in leadership roles will change our world for the better.

Here’s What Others Say
“LEAD.Well is my monthly inspiration in action to practice, grow, and expand my leadership ability.

I love having many avenues of information: leadership deep dives, book recommendations, office hours, and podcasts to keep me moving forward in the midst of the day-to-day running of my business.

Having concrete, actionable steps I can practice every day, not just in big moments, has given me the confidence to expand my business.”

Heidi Johnson

Operations Management for Visionary Leaders

“As a new entrepreneur, I knew my cycle of overwhelm and insecurity with leadership was not sustainable.

Since working with Stephanie, I can see a measurable improvement in my confidence, focus, and leadership style.

I now have the tools to lead with confidence and clarity, and I could not have gotten there alone.”

Emily Slaneff

Founder + Chief Goal Officer, @CrushCamp

“Steph is a wizard at asking the questions that force you to confront your truth; she has a knack for guiding you away from your comfort zone and into the big things you know you’re really meant for.

When distractions and self-doubt start creeping in, Steph is the person who reminds you of your values, holds you to your vision and keeps you standing in your power.”

Rhiannon Tarrent

Founder, CoachRhi.com & Fempire Fitness

“Stephanie is a master at bringing relevant topics to the personal leadership table, introducing avenues of exploration, conversation and growth that I may have never considered on my own.

And it’s never just f.y.i., always encouraging action and integration that is meaningful and manageable for me.”

Gina Bell

Success Coach, + Author of The Success Rituals: Winning Habits of High-Achieving Women

“No one has been more instrumental in my leadership journey than Stephanie Pollock.

Hiring her as my coach 8 years ago was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. My career and my life would not be what they are, if not for her incredible coaching abilities and her unwavering belief in me.

She embodies what it means to be a great leader and she makes a seemingly overwhelming concept seem tangible and relatable. If you are looking to enhance your leadership skills or up-level your business/career in general, I know you will get there with Steph’s guidance and mentorship.”

Amy Deagle

Founder & CEO, International Network of Nurse Leaders (INNL)

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is LEAD.Well for?

LEAD.Well is for women-identifying and non-binary folks. We welcome and strive for a diverse body of members.

While we recognize the need for men and women to work together to advance and amplify women leaders, LEAD.Well is designed to be a safe container for women to explore some of the inherent challenges and opportunities that we uniquely face.

LEAD.Well is open to you whether you’re a corporate employee, non-profit advocate or small business owner. All concepts and themes will be relevant regardless of where you spend your time, provided you’re committed to self-reflection, learning and practice.

Do I have to lead people directly to join?

Absolutely not.

Our style of leadership here at LEAD.Well focuses on YOU the leader. We’re here to help you show up as the best version of yourself – whether that’s to a team of 10, a team of 100 or just for you.

The conversations, learnings and practices we explore in LEAD.Well aren’t specific to leaders who manage teams of people.

What time are the events? // What if I can't make them live?

Most events inside LEAD.Well are pre-scheduled for the entire year, so you can get those in your calendar and set upon joining.

Our Weekly Leader Reviews are every Friday at 9:30am MST for 25-minutes. These are inside Circle’s Live Stream (I’m on video, you get to stay on chat).

Our Monthly Leader Roundtables are the second Wednesday of every month from 11am – 12:30pm MST on Zoom (except in August).

Our Quarterly Leader Retreats are held on a Friday from 10am – 2pm MST (usually the second last or last Friday of the quarter).

Leader Roundtables are recorded and uploaded to the private podcast feed to consume on demand.

We are also open to adding different times if the demand exists.

What happens when I join LEAD.Well?

As soon as you join LEAD.Well, you’ll be taken to your Member Dashboard where you can manage your membership. You’ll also receive a detailed welcome with a complete LEAD Well overview.

You’ll also have immediate access to our Circle community and our private member-only podcast. You can jump right in and say hello.

And then you’ll have access to our Leadership Essentials program. This program is self-paced with monthly live sessions to get help and support. .

Every Thursday, you’ll receive our members-only newsletter with resources, hand-picked articles/podcasts, prompts & practices and a lot more. Each month you’re invited to attend our Leader Roundtable around our theme – a thoughtful discussion to help us deepen our thinking and understanding.

And you’ll get access to our ever-growing Resource Hub.

Is there a Community forum/group to participate in?

Here’s what I know for sure: leaders are busy! And our goal is to keep you focused on what matters most – not falling down rabbit holes or finding yourself paying more attention to what others are doing, than what you want to be focused on.

That’s why we have a focused, intentional community inside Circle. Rather than take a beehive of activity approach with multiple channels and endless notifications, we use the community as an extension of our main events and content.

For each live event or on-demand content piece (e.g. a Roundtable or a Leadership Practice on the podcast), we’ll start a discussion thread inside the community for you to comment on. This keeps our conversation relevant, manageable and focused on what matters.

What's your cancellation policy?

How do I keep LEAD Well from being another thing I buy but never use?

I get it! I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I have a number of courses I’ve purchased over the years that went dormant in my digital archives.

Listen, the truth is that if you never engage with the LEAD.Well material, you won’t get much out of it. So that part is up to you.

What I can tell you is that I’ve designed to be as user-friendly as possible, with as many entry points as possible. The goal isn’t to do it ALL each month – it’s to explore and practice in whatever way works.

We suggest you do your best to make our live events each month (2 per month) as these offer you the chance to see and connect with your fellow members face-to-face (over Zoom).

And the good news is that it’s always here for you when you need it. There is no linear process and so it’s available on-demand when you’re ready to dive in.

I have another question. How can I reach you?
We welcome your questions or feedback.

Please email support@weleadwell.co and we’ll get back to you ASAP.
